I have seen an issue creep up quite a bit lately for people using Remote Desktop Session Host on Window Server 2012. The issue can be seen when you have a RDSH server set for "per user" mode, the grace period has passed and you have correctly applied a current production license. When making the connection to the RDSH server you will see the following error:
The remote session was disconnected because there are no Remote Desktop License Servers available to provide a license.To resolve the issue, take the following step:
Issue: Unable to do RDP in per user mode
Resolution: Deleted the following key from registry HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\RCM\Grace Period
Note: Always mitigate risk by backing up registry keys or the entire hive before making any changes
