Remote Execution Enabler for PowerShell

As you may or may not know, SolarWinds provides a portfolio of free tools for the IT administrator. Several of these tools are intended to help simplify common tasks that administrators typically do on a regular basis. One of those tools, Remote Execution Enabler for PowerShell, was released last week. This tool is perfect for those who know the pain of enabling WinRM on multiple targets. Anyone who regularly uses PowerShell commands across their network has had to do this task on more than one occasion. Remote Execution Enabler for PowerShell makes it very quick and easy to enable WinRM for multiple targets all from you PC.

As you can see below, it takes three basic steps to enable WinRM with this tool. Simply add your target hostnames or IP addesses (or import from a file), enter the correlating credentials, and click "Start Configuration".

Then, if you like to watch progress bars, you can what the configuration status of each host. Each host entered will give you a indication of In Progress, Complete, or Failed. If you hover over a Failed status, you will see details as to why the task failed. For a complete list of failed statuses, or other information about the tool, you can check out the Quick Reference Guide on Thwack.

If you click on the Resources tab, you will find a few links that might be of benefit as well.

That's it. A simple, yet cumbersome task is resolved by an equally simple tool. As we release and update more tools, I'll post some information and insight here.
