Shut up and take my money!

That's what every product manager wants to hear when you tell a customer about features that are coming in the next release. But the reality is it can be difficult, as a product manager, to pin point exactly what is that winning combination of features. Even more so, it's very difficult to do that time and time again. That's why we look to customers and partners to obtain insight as to exactly what they are looking for from a product.

There are many ways this insight can be gained. One creative way we do this at SolarWinds is through the feature request forum on Thwack, our community site. This is a great way for our many customers to let their voices be heard. Thwack users post feature requests and the rest of the community can vote on those requests. It's a novel method that allows people to share ideas on new features and get others to help drive visibility. The likelihood that those features, which have a high number of votes, become implemented in the product are much greater than one might realize.

So, if you are a Virtualization Manager customer, or even a prospective customer, check out the feature request section of Thwack, and let us know what you want to see in the product.
